About Us
Tea Tribe is an online tea shop based in Deal, New Jersey. We bring together everyday favorites from established tea makers and harder-to-find teas from smaller producers, so you can explore the world of tea in one place.
Our story
Tea Tribe was founded by Abe Massry with a simple idea: a great cup of tea is more than a drink. It's a pause in the day, a tradition shared across cultures, and something worth learning about. We built Tea Tribe to make that world easy to explore, whether you're choosing your first loose-leaf tea or looking for a specific pu-erh cake.
What we carry
Our catalog includes black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, rooibos, matcha and herbal teas, alongside teaware and accessories. We stock products from tea makers including Bigelow, Ahmad Tea, Buddha Teas, Mina, Miracle Tree and Terapy Ceylon, as well as smaller independent producers. Each product page names the brand that makes it.
The Tea Library
Alongside the shop, our Tea Library covers where teas come from, how the main types differ and how to brew them well. It's written for beginners and longtime tea drinkers alike.
